The CT440 is a brand new horn tweeter built by Ciare for the Car Audio and SPL segment . It is the most "modern" version with a neodymium magnet of the historic Ciare CT382 . Its motor is based on a powerful neodymium magnet and a 44 mm (1.75″) diameter voice coil with a nominal impedance of 8 Ω. The use of this nominal impedance value is not surprising: the CT440 is in fact derived from the Ciare NDA1 compression driver , developed for the professional sector. Furthermore, the mobile unit of the CT440 is completed with a flat mylar membrane, acoustically loaded with an ogival aluminum horn with a square flange with a side of 112 mm. The design of the horn is even more attractive thanks to the 4 "chamfers" corresponding to the fixing holes.
