The CT382ND is a new horn tweeter built by Ciare for the Car Audio and SPL segment. It is the most "modern" version with a neodymium magnet of the historic Ciare CT382 . Its motor is based on a powerful neodymium magnet and a 38 mm (1.5″) diameter voice coil with a nominal impedance of 6 Ω, cooled with ferrofluid. Then, the mobile unit of the CT382ND is completed with a flat aluminum membrane, held in place on the magnet by a 150 mm diameter flange. Furthermore, the maximum electrical power applicable to this tweeter is 200 Watt AES , obviously with the tweeter appropriately filtered (at least 4.5 kHz). The frequency range of use declared by Ciare is from 4 to 20 kHz, with a nominal average sensitivity of 105 dB SPL 2.83V/1m.
